Outline
The Consulting Project is an educational program in which each student writes a consulting report for an institution. We ask various institutions to be our students' “client” which request one of our students to write a report on a topic that both the institution and the student are interested in.
The role (or “cost”) of the client is to provide the student with information, guidance, and advice in the process of his/her writing a consulting report. The benefit of the client is that it can obtain free consultation from a graduate student who is under the supervision of our faculty.
Each student is expected to write a consulting report (expected to be around 30 pages) for the client and make one presentation of the consulting report for the client. The project takes about six months and must be completed by the end of July. We ask each client to fill out our evaluation form at the end of the project.
The copyright of the final report basically belongs to the client with a condition that the student can also use part of the research outcomes in his/her research paper. So, if there is any confidential information that the student cannot use in his/her own research, please make it clear to the student.
